We have lots of dedicated seasonal associates that work full and part time and the following individuals are truly thankful for all their help. Total employment peaks at about 80 associates.

Edward Knapton - owner Sec- Treasurer Involved with financial matters purchasing and marketing. Background BS degree in Horticulture from UW - Madison. Many years of experience with customers and growing plants. Genealogy

Carol Knapton - owner President. Involved with the payables and overall business decisions. Background BS degree in Education from Edgewood College. Many years of experience with customers and plants.

Open - Human Resources, hiring and scheduling retail help, answering phone, plant signage and inputting receipts and receivables, and planting activities. Plant experience and being a Master Gardener is helpful.

Al Lunde - Greenhouse operations manager. Many years of experience. college Degree.

Jeevananth Balasingam - Greenhouse grower. Masters Degree

Barbara Raether - Assistant greenhouse and retail manager. 10 plus years of experience helping customers and greenhouse production. Florist experience.

Deborah Stevens - greenhouse retail assistant. Works with schools on tours and greenhouse experiences. Many years of experience especially helping children. Master Gardening Training

Dave Bohn - part time maintenance technician and a full time farmer besides.

Beverly Techmeier - assistant Retail manager. Many years of retail experience. Overseas the large pottery department.

Beverly Wilson- administrative assistant help in maintaining customer database, accounting, purchasing and inventory. Master Gardening Training

Bonnie Marshall - Marketing, fundraising and events manager

Ilene Isenberg - Perennial Tree and Shrub manager. Master Gardening Training

Vacant - seasonal full and part time associates to help in retail and production.

Hello, I’m Ed Knapton, Carol, my wife and I believe the Lord Jesus Christ has called us to own and operate this business.

Mission

The purpose of our business is to supply beauty (the best plant varieties) with God’s help for our customers while operating as a Christian business.

Goals

1. Provide an environment so the associates can be successful and feel part of the success of providing excellent customer service.

2. Manage the resources of the company to be able to grow and provide for the needs of the associates.

3. Continually find new and exciting plant material while providing the varieties that are the best for garden performance.
